About the Art Department
The Hueneme High art department offers students a variety of Art experiences. Our painting class is a year-long exploration and various "wet" media such as watercolor and acrylic. Illustration and Life Drawing focuses on developing observational drawing skills as well as skills in commercial illustration. Visual art is an entry course to introduce students to basic drawing, painting, sculpting and printmaking. Our digital photography course provides students with beginning photography skills as well as computer proficiency. Students learn to manipulate photo media through the use of Photoshop software for fine art and commercial application. Soon we will begin offering an advanced digital photography course.
