What do trailblazers and icons like United Farm Workers’ Co-Founder Dolores Huerta, award-winning actors Tom Hanks and Gabrielle Union, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and children’s author Beverly Cleary have in common? They all attended a California community college!
While each has embarked on their own career journey, they all share a common belief in the value of a community college education. Community colleges are often overlooked as a viable option and many people still don’t realize California community colleges offer a high-quality education that can lead to a good-paying career and a better quality of life! In fact, community college is a smart and affordable way to earn a degree or certificate, get real-world training for a career, or transfer to a guaranteed spot at a CSU, UC, or private four-year college or university.
