Your Lady Vikings are the 2025 CIF SS Division 8 Champions!! Final score: 1-0.

What an absolute gem by Jaucelynn Ayala, pitching a 7 inning shutout and only allowing 3 hits, 1 walk, with 9 strikeouts. Roxanna Silva went 2 for 3 at the plate. Citlalli (CeeCee) Cardoso Lopez scoring the only run on a bunt error and playing stellar defense at second base, making some key plays to preserve the lead. Jacqueline Uribe also made some fantastic catches in center field to preserve the lead. Amazing team win!! 

A big thank you to all of you for being a part of this journey. You all played a part in it. Our awesome grounds/maintenance team for always having our field prepped and ready for games, our admin team, Coach Gallegos and our clerical staff for ensuring we have what we need and helping out with the logistics, nutrition staff ensuring we have our game day meals, our athletic trainer Austin for helping our girls stay healthy and recovering from injuries, you awesome teachers that help keep our girls on track despite the game day absences!

A few other acknowledgements and a heartfelt thank you to the awesome people who donated snacks and drinks—your generosity truly made a difference! Thank you to AVID (Ms. Lane and Ms. Ambriz), Ms. Noemi Diaz, HHS Boxing Club (Mr. Garcia), Ms. Xochitl Gomez, Ms. Wayne, Ms. Bettencourt, Ms. Paola Garcia, Ms. Wright, Ms. Sherry Petersen. The girls enjoyed the Cheez-Its (THEY LOVE THEM!!), Gushers, fruit snacks, Gatorade, water, corn nuts, trail mix, cold orange slices, granola bars, sunflower seeds, and a post-game meal at In-N-Out! A special shout out to Mrs. Weight, Ms. Soria, and Mrs. Wayne for the snack and drink donations for our girls for today's game. Your kindness and support brought so much joy and energy to the team. We are truly grateful for your thoughtfulness!
