Anime/Video Game Club

Establish a safe and inclusive network for students to connect and share their passion for anime and other Japanese culture.

Create artwork and work on sketches that the club votes on; share artwork and collaborate together on projects.

Help individuals become eligible for postsecondary education and provide volunteer opportunities within the school and in the community.

Band Auxiliary Unit

Perform alone as the Drill Team or together with the Marching Band at home team sports competitions, off-campus field show competitions, and in community parades and parade competitions. Learn precision marching routines and team building skills.

Folklorico Orgullo de mi Cultura

Survey folklorico traditions from Mexico and share them with the HHS student body as well as members of the community through performances and dance workshops provided in conjunction with other ballet folklorico groups; promote the study and preservation of  traditional music, dance, and Mexican folklore.

Bring greater recognition to the medical fields and help students who want to have a career in said fields.

GeoBowl

Participate in the annual GeoBowl competition, held at Oxnard College, against all the other high schools in the County.  Each year features a theme and many of the questions stem from that theme.  Focus is on current events, cultural geography, and physical geography.  Members compete as both individuals and as a team.

Stay Strong! Si Se Puede!

MESA’s college prep program sparks early interest in STEM by bridging classroom concepts to real-world practice, and inspires youth on their STEM journey to higher education and their    future success. MESA Day events are geared to showcase students’ math and science know-how. These future technical professionals have spent months creating and designing math and science projects. The project-based learning events include launching gliders, testing the strength of bridges, and evaluating human-centered design projects, and help to solidify the core math, science and engineering skills students learn in class. The competitions bridge classroom learning with real-world application and encourage students to think beyond what they learn in physics, calculus or geometry.

Migrant Achievement Club

Help students improve academically and be able to develop as good leaders.

Multicultural Club

Bring awareness to Hueneme High School about the diverse cultures of students; provide a place where students can learn and teach others about their cultures.

We work to help animals and educate people in our community on how to care for and protect animals.  We also help all stray, lost or injured animals on HHS campus and volunteer to help others when needed.

Empower indigenous students to achieve their educational goals by providing tools for their state exams; help students apply for scholarship opportunities so they can afford their higher education and/or work career programs; encourage pride among indigenous students in their history and culture.
