Freshman Support Program
The Freshmen Support Program (FSP) is a unique program designed to support all incoming 9th graders throughout the school year and lay a foundation for academic success that extends throughout their high school career and beyond. Under the guidance of the FSP Coordinator and the assistance of the FSP Counselor, teachers of freshmen students collaborate to plans lessons, share resources and best practices, and identify students in need of more intensive academic and/or social/emotional intervention services.
Once students are identified for intensive intervention, they are referred to the FSP Coordinator for academics and/or the FSP Counselor for social/emotional needs. As students are assessed, they meet individually and/or in small groups to receive tutoring, counseling, and other targeted services with the goal of ensuring that all freshmen succeed.
