FAFSA and CA Dream Act

Financial Aid Forms – Filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or CA Dream Act for undocumented or Dreamer Students is the first step in the financial aid process. The FAFSA opens on October 1st each year. Funds are available on a first-come-first-served basis, so apply early. The deadline to submit the FAFSA for most schools is March 2nd. For more information and to apply:

1.    Create a FAFSA ID: Students must create a FAFSA ID before they start their FAFSA application.  Use this link to create an ID.

2.    Start your FAFSA: Use this link to start your FAFSA application. 

3.    CA Dream Act:  is for students who are dreamers or undocumented, who are not able to apply for FAFSA who meet the following California nonresident tuition exemption (commonly known as AB 540 requirements).

Local Community Colleges Promise Grant

Oxnard College- California College Promise Grant- Two-year tuition-free. The California College Promise waives tuition fees and must be renewed every year. 

Ventura College Promise covers the cost of the per-unit Enrollment Fee, Health Fees Student Center Fee, and Student Representative Fee for students who meet certain eligibility requirements.

Moorpark College Promise- two-year tuition-free.  The California College Promise waives tuition fees and must be renewed every year.
